How to Use the BIMI Generator
Paste your logo URL
A square SVG file (SVG Tiny PS profile) already hosted somewhere reachable over HTTPS.
Add a certificate URL, if you have one
Optional. Leave it blank if you don't have a VMC or CMC yet – the record is still valid.
Publish and verify
Copy the record into a TXT entry at default._bimi.yourdomain.com, then confirm it with the checker.
What Each Field Does
Logo URL (l=)RequiredThe location of your brand logo. Must be an SVG file conforming to the SVG Tiny PS profile: square aspect ratio, no scripts, no external references or animations. This is the file mailbox providers display next to your email.
Certificate URL (a=)OptionalThe location of a VMC or CMC certificate that proves you own the logo. Leave this blank and the record is still spec-valid – it just won't render in Gmail, which requires a certificate before it displays anything.
What is a VMC (or CMC)?
A Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) is a paid, third-party certificate that proves you legally own the trademarked logo you're publishing – issued by an authorized certificate authority such as DigiCert, Entrust, or GlobalSign, typically requiring a registered trademark. A Common Mark Certificate (CMC) is a newer, lower-barrier alternative some CAs offer for organizations without a registered trademark.
ActiScan does not issue or broker VMCs or CMCs. This generator only formats the record – if you already have a certificate from a CA, paste its URL into the certificate field above and it will be added as the a= tag. Without one, the generated record is still spec-valid; it just won't render in Gmail until a certificate is added.

Is this BIMI generator free?
Yes – build a valid BIMI record for free, no signup required.
Do I need a VMC or CMC to generate a record?
No. The BIMI spec makes the a= tag optional. Generate a record with just your logo URL, and add the certificate URL later once you have one.
What if my logo isn't in SVG format yet?
Convert it first. Most design tools (Illustrator, Inkscape) can export SVG, but a plain export usually needs cleanup to meet the SVG Tiny PS profile – square canvas, no scripts, no animations, no external references.
Where do I publish the generated record?
As a TXT record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com in your DNS provider. BIMI always uses the fixed "default" selector, unlike DKIM.
Will this make my logo show up in Gmail right away?
Not by itself. Gmail requires both a VMC (or CMC) on the a= tag and DMARC enforcement (p=quarantine or p=reject) on your domain before it will render the logo.
