Terms of Service

1. The Service

ActiScan scans domains you add for email-security posture (SPF, DMARC, DKIM, BIMI, MTA-STS, blacklist status, and related checks) and presents the results in a dashboard, exportable reports, and optional client-facing share links. ActiScan reads public DNS records and, where you connect optional third-party services (see Section 5), acts on your explicit instructions. ActiScan does not access, read, or transmit the content of your or your clients' email — only DNS configuration and the aggregate/failure/TLS report data described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for safeguarding your login credentials and any API keys or OAuth connections you add (Section 5). Notify us promptly at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access. You're responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including that of teammates you invite.

3. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing

New accounts begin with a 30-day free trial. Starting a trial requires a valid payment method — you won't be charged during the trial, but by starting one you authorize us to automatically begin billing your payment method for the applicable subscription plan when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. We'll email you at least 7 days before your trial converts to a paid subscription so you have a real chance to decide. Canceling at any time during the trial, including on the last day, means you are never charged.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance at the rate shown at checkout (currently $90/month including 30 monitored domains, plus $15/month per additional pack of 5 domains). Plans renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard's billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we don't provide partial-period refunds except where required by law or at our discretion. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers before the change applies to their next renewal.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We never receive or store your full card number. If a payment fails, we may retry it and, if it continues to fail, suspend access to the Service until it's resolved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scan or add a domain you don't own, manage, or have authorization to assess
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or another tenant's data
• Use the embeddable widget or public tools to harass, spam, or deceive visitors
• Resell or sublicense the Service itself (as opposed to reselling security services you deliver using it, which is exactly what it's built for)
• Reverse-engineer the Service beyond what applicable law expressly permits

5. Third-party connections

The Service lets you optionally connect third-party accounts you control — Cloudflare or GoDaddy (to publish a DNS record we've already computed for you), HubSpot or a generic webhook (to receive leads/scan events), and ConnectWise/Autotask/HaloPSA (to open support tickets). We only act on these connections at your direction (e.g., clicking "Publish for me" or enabling lead sync) and never make a DNS change or send data to a connected service without an action you took. You're responsible for the credentials you provide and for that third party's own terms.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the domains, branding, and data you add to the Service. You grant us a license to host, process, and display it solely to provide the Service to you (and, where you've enabled a client-facing share link or embeddable widget, to whoever you've given that link or embedded that widget for). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data, including data your own website visitors submit through your embedded scan widget — you are the data controller for that data; we process it on your behalf.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." A passing grade or score from ActiScan is an assessment based on the checks we run at the time of the scan — it is not a guarantee of email deliverability, security, or compliance with any law, regulation, or industry standard, and DNS-based checks can be affected by factors outside our visibility (propagation delays, third-party mail-platform behavior, recipient-side filtering). You're responsible for verifying any DNS record before publishing it, whether by copy-paste or the auto-publish feature.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SECURAFY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, AND WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST REVENUE OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for a material breach of these Terms (including Section 4) that you don't cure within a reasonable time after notice, or immediately for conduct that risks harm to the Service or other tenants. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we retain data per our Privacy Policy's retention terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes, we'll notify active subscribers by email at least 15 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
